I combine philosophical research with design, visual communication, and photography. My work centres on three areas: Existential Realism as an ontology of time, cognitive constructivism as an account of perception, and practical philosophy as a guide to clearer judgment and responsible action. My aim is to examine complex questions carefully and present them in a form that remains accessible beyond academic philosophy.

My work explores time, reality, perception, and how we orient ourselves within a complex world.
About Me
For me, philosophy begins not with an abstract system, but with the question of what can be understood about the actual world.
I am an independent philosopher, author, and designer based in Bern. For many years, I have worked on questions concerning time, perception, reality, and the conditions of human action. My philosophical approach is realist: ideas are not valuable merely because they are interesting. They should help us understand actual structures of the world more clearly. Design and photography complement this work. Both develop sensitivity to structure, perspective, and the presentation of complex ideas.
FABRICA MUNDI
How the brain constructs a model of the world from perception, experience, and prior knowledge. The book explores how perception, memory, learning, and expectation shape the world we experience. These constructions are not arbitrary: they are constrained and continually corrected by an independent reality.
Reflections on Time
Photo Books
Landscapes, mountains, and journeys presented as coherent visual narratives.
My photo books combine images from the Alps and other mountain regions with personal observations from travelling. They focus on landscape, light, weather, geological forms, and the atmosphere of remote places. Rather than presenting only dramatic highlights, the books also include paths, transitions, and quieter moments that reveal a landscape as a connected experience.
